The Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) is a wholly independent government-built agency in Pakistan. In South Asia, the OEC is the sole of its sort. It was founded under a 3-year agreement with the International Labor Organization (ILO), signed by the Government of Pakistan in April 1984. OEC is a commercial, profit-oriented, independent, self-regulating entity entirely owned by the Pakistani Government. The OECD works in partnership with the UNDP and the International Labor Organization (ILO).The Overseas Employment Corporation OEC Jobs is a government-sponsored programme to help Pakistani people work abroad. It was launched in 1975. The program’s major purpose was to allow Pakistanis to seek jobs and to aid Pakistani ex-pats in returning money to their family in Pakistan. Pakistani students are also granted bursaries by the Government. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Migration is running this programme.
